“I’m thrilled to be a part of the decision behind one of the best chambers in the nation,” Dragosavich said. “I hope that my love for the community and its growing entrepreneurial ecosystem can help put the FMWF Chamber in a better position to serve our business community. My businesses have been impacted so well through the support of the FMWF Chamber that it gives me great excitement to give back.”

Spotlight Media Publisher Mike Dragosavich joined Designer Homes President Robert Leslie on North Dakota Today to announce the official partnering of Design and Living Magazine with Designer Homes to help promote the Giveaway of a Lifetime contest.
Designer Homes of Fargo-Moorhead, for the second time, will be giving away a $500,000 home to one lucky family in the FM area. This extraordinary contest was first held in 2012 when Michele Gilbertson and her family won a custom dream home. This time around, Design and Living Magazine wanted to join in on the life-changing excitement as the contest’s promoter and administrator.
“We are very excited to be partnering up on this amazing event for our community,” Dragosavich said. “We look forward to being the media partner and to be able to bring the public all of the exciting Giveaway of a Lifetime news, stories and announcements.”
The contest will begin upon completion of the house and will run through October 16. The house is currently under construction at 4200 54th Ave. S. in the all-new district at The Pines development in South Fargo and scheduled to be finished in early July. The first open house is Saturday, July 9 from 1 to 5 p.m. Once the house is completed, people will be able to go and tour the home and enter their name to win the house. Open houses will be held every Monday through Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday/Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. At the first contest in 2012, more than 100,000 people passed through the Giveaway of a Lifetime home.
The winner of the home will be selected at an event on October 29 sponsored by Designer Homes and Design & Living Magazine. At the event, the contest will be narrowed down from 1,000 finalists to 30 individuals. 800 of these certificates will be selected from people visiting the home, 100 certificates will be selected via social media and 100 certificates will be given away at live events across the community. Those individuals will be brought on stage at the event. Each contestant will then draw a key and attempt to unlock a special door. One contestant will have the lucky key that will unlock the door on-stage and to their new home.
“This opportunity is made possible by a variety of sponsors, including Design & Living Magazine, which is the media sponsor for the event. This is an exciting partnership for Designer Homes and Design and Living as both of our businesses want to give back to the community that has given so much to us,” Leslie said.
“It’s an honor to be part of the excitement of the Giveaway of a Lifetime,” Dragosavich said. “We believe the community is deserving of such a monumental event and we can’t wait to see the look on the face of the person who wins the home.”
