Soda Tran is our new graphic designer. He was born and raised in Fargo, ND. He attended Fargo North High School and after graduation he pursued his Graphic Design studies at MState. During his college years, he held a part-time job in customer service and sales while working on freelance. In his free time, he enjoys the company of close friends and watches basketball.
Nate Mickelberg is the new editor of Stride Magazine. He is from Fargo and lives in Moorhead now. He went to undergrad at the University of Minnesota and grad school at Northwestern University. He spends his free time reading and playing/watching golf. His wife’s name is Arielle and they have two dogs named Piper and Murphy. He is excited to join the Spotlight team and help showcase the F-M-WF area and what a great place it is to live and work.
Danielle Wente is our new Assistant Web Editor. Wente previously worked as a Content Writer and Website Manager for Shale Plays Media. She graduated in 2013 from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a B.S. in Mass Communications Photojournalism and a minor in English writing. In her free time, Wente enjoys photography, spending time with family and friends, along with Netflix and her bed.
Amy Dagen is employed by Spotlight Media as an account representative. Dagen’s experience includes social media marketing, journalism, sales in wholesale and retail settings, creative and non-fiction writing. Numerous periodicals have published her work, including “Dust and Fire”, an anthology of women’s writing formerly published by Bemidji State University. She also authors the blog “Frostfire Journal.” Dagen resides with her family near Lake Park, MN.
Paul Flessland is our new photographer. He interned at Spotlight in spring of 2014. He graduated from Concordia College with majors in mass communication and multimedia journalism, along with a minor in Norwegian. He is also the official photographer for FC Fargo, a semi-pro soccer team starting up in town.
