Spotlight Supports: Hopeful Heart Project

Spotlight was proud to sponsor Hopeful Heart Project’s event called Love & Light this November.

About Hopeful Heart Project:

The work we do at the Hopeful Heart Project focuses on providing care packages and resources for loss families, as well as local community events supporting hope and healing.

From the site:

We are a non-profit organization dedicated to providing hope, healing, and support to parents who have endured the tremendous loss of a child.

In honor of the children we have lost, it is our mission to ensure no parent must walk this path alone. We strive to educate families in their options, provide them with the resources and comfort they may need, and create events centered around self-care and healing.

We Welcome Brady Drake!

Where are you from?

Fargo, ND

Tell us a little bit about you.

I graduated from Concordia College with a degree in Multimedia Journalism and a minor in business. When I wasn’t in class, I was busy being a tackling dummy for the football team. I have a passion for sharing information and am thrilled to be at Spotlight.

If there was a movie about your life, who would play you and why?

Danny Devito. Similar appearance.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

My favorite thing to do in my spare time is watching football. I love sports, playing hockey especially. I also love dogs, who doesn’t?

Welcome Kirsten Lund

Where are you from?

I was born in Nashville, TN and raised in Moorhead, MN.

Tell us a little bit about you.

I graduated from Concordia College with a BA in Business Management in 2011. The day after graduation, I went to work for a large marketing agency in Fargo. In 2014, I went to work for a smaller agency and focused my efforts on digital marketing, managing a number of clients in a wide variety of industries for over five years. I have a heart for the Fargo-Moorhead area, and I’m excited that I have the opportunity to continue to bring my best efforts forward to help clients in the community succeed.

If there was a movie about your life, who would you play and why?

Probably The Sound of Music since Maria sings all the time 🙂

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

I love to sing. I was trained to sing classically from 6th grade through my senior year at Concordia, so I take advantage of any chance I get!

What’s a ridiculous fact about yourself?

I hate candy and sweets of all kinds. Even chocolate. No ice cream for me!

Where are you from?

I moved to Fargo earlier this summer from Watertown, SD.

Tell us a little bit about you.

I have always had the passion to create even from an early age which led me to attend college for Graphic Design and follow that career path through the last 8 years. Not only do I find joy in creating on the computer, but I also enjoy woodworking and for the past couple of years have started up my own small home decor business. When I’m not busy creating, I enjoy spending time with my husband of 5 years and our cute, little dog, Farley.

If there was a movie about your life, who would play you and why?

I would have to say Zooey Deschanel, Jess from New Girl, would play me just for the simple fact that she makes people laugh even though she can be awkward and over-emotional at times. She keeps trying even through her continuous struggles and I can relate to that whole-heartedly.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

I enjoy Netflixing and going to the movies with the hubby, baking, and taking walks with my dog, Farley.

What’s a ridiculous fact about yourself?

I’ve been known to eat ketchup on green beans, which I’ve been told multiple times is a little ridiculous. I promise it’s delicious, just try it!

I was born in St. Cloud MN. I grew up in Moorhead, yes I am a SPUD.

Tell us a little bit about you.

I have been married to my wife Barbara since 10/18/80. We worked in Radio together in Fargo, Brainerd, Minot, Bismarck and Fergus Falls.  We have a son Jace (36). We have a daughter Kristen (34). We have two grandchildren, Gabriella (6) and Lincoln (5). We live on Wall Lake, 5 miles east of Fergus Falls.

If there was a movie about your life, who would play you and why?

Kevin Costner. Because he’s the “coolest”.

What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?

Fishing, boating, hunting and snowmobiling.

What’s a ridiculous fact about yourself?

I was riding a snowmobile that caught fire and i didn’t realize it. I continued to ride it right between the gas pumps of a nearby convenience store, then realized it was on fire. I jumped off just 200 yards from my home and called 911 while many of my neighbors and I watched it burn until the Fire Department arrived.
