Where are you from?
I grew up in Rolette, North Dakota, a small farming community right next to the Canadian border.
Tell us a little bit about you.
I graduated high school early and lived abroad to Australia for a year, working as an Au Pair. After returning home, I attended Lake Region State College where I majored in Business Administration & Marketing, then completely changed gears and obtained my license in esthetics. I expanded into sales after finding Spotlight, which has been an exciting career change for me!
If there was a movie about your life, who would play you and why?
I would say Mila Kunis! I have been told she is my celeb look alike and she's funny, so it fits.
What is your favorite thing to do in your spare time?
Some of my favorite things to do include traveling, discovering new restaurants, hanging out with my Dalmatian, Ruby, being with friends and family, grabbing cocktails, hosting dinner parties, and discovering music.
What’s a ridiculous fact about yourself?
I can quote the entire Benchwarmers movie from front to back with no shame.
What part of your position provides the most value?
Being in sales is the perfect position to gain lifelong connections. Not only do I get to work with the super talented team at Spotlight, but also get to meet with so many incredible businesses scattered through the FM area.
Tell us about your experience.
After coming from a business background and later working as an esthetician, I believe that I can take what I've learned in other areas of life and translate them into my role at Spotlight. Sales and building personal relationships with clients was highly integrated in my day-to-day work life, so I can easily take what I've gained in my previous roles and translate them to my current position.
What part of your job do you believe makes the most impact?
Being able to take all that Spotlight has to offer and give those tools to a client to bring their visions to life is super fulfilling.
Why does our community matter to you?
Fargo-Moorhead is an incredibly diverse and growing community but still provides that "homey" feel. I have found that making the right connections here can make Fargo quickly become your forever type of community.
What are some of your goals at Spotlight?
My goals are to learn how to become a diverse and knowledgeable part of the sales team through our leader, Mike, and the rest of my colleagues. My ultimate goal is to help expand nationally after establishing solid connections in our region.
