Photo special to Spotlight Media

Editorial Director Andrew Jason is participating in the U.S. Small Business Administration Emerging Leaders Initiative in Fargo. The seven-month federal training initiative provides small business owners the opportunity to work with experienced mentors, attend approximately 100 hours of specialized workshops, network with fellow leaders and take that next step in the growth process.

“I am so excited to be learning from some of the most knowledgeable business professionals I’ve met,” Jason said. “Not only am I excited to learn from the facilitator Karen Froelich, but I’m also thrilled to work with other business leaders like Ashley Morken of Unglued, Tom Enright of GoodBulb and many others. I can’t wait to take what I learn to help grow our company and create as much impact as possible.”

Upon graduation of the program, participants have a three-year growth action plan and a sturdy network of peers and industry experts. According to SBA’s website, its “outreach in these communities has resulted in entrepreneurial success that generates new jobs, attracts investment and provides a more sustainable economic base in distressed areas.”
