Fargo Monthly Editor
Where are you from?
Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama; educated in Columbia, Missouri; and sprinted around NYC and Nashville a touch.
Give us a couple sentences about you.
I graduated from Stephens College, a small, Midwestern women’s college, with a BFA in Fashion Communications, but don’t worry, I’m (usually) not judging your outfit. I recently found myself relocated to Fargo and have been enjoying all that this part of the country has to offer. I’m properly obsessed with animals, including my cat (Tofu), dog (Lance), and two fat-tail geckos (Darryl and Frankie), and I always find a way to bring at least one of them up in conversation.
Are you a pirate or a ninja fan?
Have you seen Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow? Enough said.
What is your favorite pastime?
Lately I’ve found myself in the kitchen and really enjoying cooking. I follow a plant-based diet, which the Midwest isn’t 100% accommodating of all the time, so if I want a tasty dish on the go, I know I have to make it myself! Also, I’m very into podcasts, especially This American Life and anything that is true-crime related.
What’s a ridiculous fact about yourself?
My wisdom teeth never came in. I like to think that it’s because I’m one of the few who have reached a new peak of human evolution.
